Stefan Debener is a full Professor and head of the Neuropsychology Lab at University of Oldenburg. He received his PhD in Psychology from TU Dresden, Germany, in 2001. After a post-doc in Neurophysiology in Hamburg he became a Senior Clinical Scientist in 2005 and spent three years at the Medical Research Council Institute of Hearing Research in Southampton, UK. In 2008 he accepted a tenured professorship at Jena University Hospital, Germany, and since 2009 he has been with the Department of Psychology at Oldenburg University. Debener is a PI in several collaborative research projects and leads a cluster of excellence Hearing4All task-group on developing brain-computer interfaces for hearing devices. He has a keen interesting in advanced psychophysiology, the development of mobile EEG, and neurorehabilitation.
