Pierfilippo De Sanctis received a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Statistics at the University of Konstanz, Germany, in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Humboldt University of Berlin in 2002. He is Assistant Professor and Project Director of Cognitive Aging at the Sheryl and Daniel R. Tishman Cognitive Neurophysiology Laboratory, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx. He holds appointments in the Departments of Neurology and Pediatrics. Dr. De Sanctis’s research focuses on understanding how impaired coupling between cognitive, sensory and motor functions is associated with mobility decline and falls in geriatrics and neurological disorders.
